GP4: 2014 Track Pack released

Another week, another track pack! Here's the 2014 compilation I'm pleased to share with you. 

Firstly, it's hard to talk about the 2014 season without remembering Jules Bianchi, whose accident at that year's Japanese GP cause head injuries that would lead to his death some nine months later. The young talent had a Ferrari contract, but was never able to live out his dream. So this release is dedicated to #JB17. 

A new era for Formula 1 was upon us, and a new dominate team, as Mercedes and Hamilton and Rosberg would play out the Championship picture for years to come. The former A1-Ring in Spielberg, Austria came into the possession of Red Bull, who have quickly renamed it the Red Bull Ring, and saw the return of the track to the F1 calendar for the first time since 2003. Another new race track was created in Sochi, Russia, making the most of the Olympic Park site which hosted that  year's Winter Olympic Games. The short-lived Indian Grand Prix was cancelled due to a taxation issue. The Bahrain race took place at night for the first time, to mark the 10th running of the race there. 

RSCT joined the track modding business, and produced the wonderful Red Bull Ring track, initially with a 2015 version and then updated to 2014 by Jcaranti. This was originally based on Schueyfan's track, with much work done by Hega and Gezere.
KTC has created many of the new tracks from this era of F1 and he created the new Sochi track that is featured in this track pack. Klaus Feldmann brings us an updated cc-line for it. 
Tumyeto did a great job in turning the Sakhir track by F1 Virtual, into the night version. 

There's a few substitutes, with the 2012 versions of Interlagos, Yas Marina and Hockenheim and the 2013 version of Montreal and Monza are included in this pack. All of them have had the garages and pitstands updated where the PLUS system is applied.

This package is structured to work with TSM, from Zaz Tools. Due to the size of the files, I was unable to package them using TSM. 

To install, simply extract the files into your GP4 directory. If you have the default track directory set in TSM, it should pick up the profiles and tracks straight away.  

Alternatively, these tracks work fine using GPxPatch direct. 

GP4: 2013 Track Pack released

This week, I have compiled the 2013 Track Pack for you.

2013 was the end on an era, specifically the last time the screaming V8's were used before the introduction of the V6 hybrid era. It was also the end of the Red Bull domination, and Sebastian Vettel's final World Championship. 

At the time, a 20 race calendar was deemed the maximum, but a new Concorde Agreement allowed up to 25. The 2013 Calendar did initially include another US race, held on the streets of New Jersey, but when that failed, Bernie tried to find an alternative in Europe, which did not materialise either. I guess nobody was pushing to use the Valencia track again. So 19 races it was!

On the race track, this was the last time we would visit the Buddh International Circuit, after only three races on Indian soil. The German Grand Prix switcheroo deal meant it was Nürburgring on the calendar for this season. It would be the last time the Brazil round would 

We have a good number of the tracks updated with 2013 sponsors and other adjustments, with just Interlagos, Nürburgring and the Yas Marina circuit receiving the PLUS update treatment. Here are a list of authors, all the credit goes to them.

As with all these track packs, you need Zaz Tools in order to install this pack. Run TSM and install this file in the program and it will install 2 profiles. 

GP4: 2012 Track Pack released ** updated 16/01/24**

Next up is the 2012 trackpack. 

Once again, all I've done is compile work from other authors (credited below) who do an amazing job at creating and updating tracks.

The Bahrain GP returned after the troubles of 2011, reverting to it's original layout after a one-off outing in 2010 of the 'Endurance' layout. The German GP deal in this era was switching between Hockenheim and Nürburgring, with the former being used in 2012. This was the debut race for the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) track, and KTC has done a good job in creating new tracks so quickly. 

A large number of these GP4 tracks have had a full 2012 update treatment, however there are five tracks where I've had to use the 2011 track and update the pit garages, pitstands and pit 'muppets' using the PLUS system. They are Shanghai, Silverstone, Suzuka, the Buddh circuit in New Delhi India, and Yeongam in South Korea.

I have updated this pack to include Klaus Feldmann's 2012 update of KTC's Yeongam track in South Korea. 

GP4: 2010 Track Pack released

Over the past year or so, I've been trying to bring you some track packs, the idea is simply to make it easier to find and install things. These are not my works, this is just my compilation. And you will need Zaz Tools, specifically TSM (Track Set Manager) to install it. 

GP4 saw tracks being made to a great quality and then others would maintain and update it to various season specifications. People such as gildoorf, prblanco, schueyfan, 32bobo32 and others as part of the F1Virtual group, to KTC, MarioB, TTM, Ruboy, drt01 and Jcaranti have all made massive contributions to creating the original tracks from scratch. It's likely that others have gone uncreditted, but I've done my best to include as many as I can reasonable find, and where possible, I've included read me files in the track folders. But a massive thanks to Lo2k who made Track editing possible. 

There are two tracks that have not had the 2010 update treatment, not that I have nor could I find any. These are Hockenheim, for which I've used the 2008 version, and Interlagos, where I've used the 2009 version. Both have had garages and pit areas updated using the PLUS system with garages by Schueyfan and others. I've included the PLUS pack as a separate download, in case you wanted to use it on other compatible tracks.

As the Grand Prix calendar extended during this period, there is a need to install two profiles. CSM (a part of Zaz Tools) can configure mods to seamlessly incorporate both profiles.
