GP4: 2025 RHP Helmets by fongu, Theofilos, Excalibur and Nick9320

2025 F1 Helmets Mod for Grand Prix 4

Overview

Apologies for the delay in releasing this, but this is the 2025 helmet set.

With Jvinu's shapes becoming increasingly out-dated, I was glad to see that new helmet shapes were being developed. ASCPRH had now progressed to version 2, and whilst I had permission and agreement to work with Marco_17, I was unable to contact Daimon for his permission of his helmet shapes. So I was glad to see that Theofilos, some of whose helmets I had converted to GP4 before, had started working on new helmet shapes.

The project is called 'The Real Helmet Project' (RHP):

As previously explained, the converted helmets of the Arai GP7 and the Bell HP77 are from the pre-VRC release of the Real Helmets Project (RHP) by Theofilos

Nick9320 and I reached out and struck up a working relationship at the time and whilst this project has taken time, I am glad for the helmet upgrade and I think it has been worth the wait. For the time being, we wait for the Schuberth and the Stilo helmets to be made, I continue to work on Jvinu's helmets for the time being.

There are two visor strip versions on the Bell helmet, as well as two wing options. The colour of the driver internal fabric is also specific to each driver now. My thanks goes to Excalibur for helping with the conversion. The hans device remains Jvinu's version, simply because it fits GP4  driver bodies better.

Theofilos is a very talented 3D and 2D artist, and he has painted both Mercedes helmets and the Ferrari helmets, they look stunning.

GP4: 2026 Helmets by fongu & Theofilos

2026 F1 Helmets Mod for Grand Prix 4

4K • Full Grid • Accurate Driver Helmets

Overview

The 2026 helmet pack is now available.

Every helmet has been recreated from scratch in 4K resolution, bringing the current F1 grid into GP4 with improved clarity, sharper detail, and more accurate representation of real-world designs.

Credits

This release couldn’t happen without the brilliant work by others in the community, with helmet shapes and templates by Jvinu (ACSPRH v1) and Theofilos (RHP).

All helmets have been designed from the ground up, with a focus on accuracy and high-resolution detail.

  • Bell helmet – is from Theofilos’ Real Helmet Project (pre-VRC versions)
  • Ferrari helmets – are painted by Theofilos, adapted by fongu
  • Schuberth & Stilo – templates by Jvinu (ACSPRH v1)

Driver-Specific Features

This pack reflects the current F1 grid as closely as possible, with each helmet matched to its correct shape and visual identity.

Helmets are not interchangeable — each design is built specifically for its intended model.

Verstappen

Number 3 added to the transparent wing.

Charles Leclerc

HP logo added to the transparent wing (Ferrari helmet).

Lewis Hamilton

HP logo added to the transparent wing (Ferrari helmet).

Valtteri Bottas

Finnish flag added to tear-off strip handles.

Final Notes

I hope you enjoy this new helmet set and its improvements. Each year, I try to add a new level of realism and accuracy. This season it is the 4K textures and some new specific shapes for drivers.

Thanks for the support, and enjoy.

GP4: Real Helmets Project – Arai GP7 & Bell HP77 Templates

I’m very grateful to Theofilos for starting the Real Helmets Project for Assetto Corsa last year. It’s an incredibly detailed and well-researched helmet project, and it immediately stood out for its accuracy and modelling quality.

With his permission, both myself and Nick9320 (who now primarily mods for rFactor 2) were able to convert the work to our respective games, helping bring a consistent, high-quality helmet standard across multiple sims.

So far, the project includes:

  • The Arai GP7

  • The Bell HP77

Both helmets come with various clear and solid wing variants. The Bell HP77 also includes the alternative wing specification used by the Ferrari drivers, again available in both clear and solid versions.

In addition, the Bell features multiple visor options:

  • Standard short visor strip

  • Extended visor strip variant

These small details make a big difference when recreating specific drivers and seasons accurately.

I’ll admit this release took a little longer than planned. Part of that was waiting to see whether Theofilos would be adding the Stilo and Schuberth helmets to the project. In the end, he shifted focus toward improving the driver body model in collaboration with the VRC modding team instead.

You can find the original Assetto Corsa release here:
https://www.overtake.gg/downloads/vrc-rhp-real-helmets-project.75985/

Today, I’m releasing the converted helmets for GP4 (kindly converted by Excalibur), along with the original templates provided by Theofilos.

The key benefit of this approach is compatibility. Helmets created using these templates will now work consistently across all three supported sims. That opens the door to shared designs, easier collaboration, and a unified standard moving forward.

Personally, I’m really pleased to have these available. They’re noticeably more detailed and more accurate than the previous generation of helmets, and they raise the visual standard of modern-era mods considerably.

Huge thanks again to Theofilos for the original project — and to everyone involved in bringing it across to other platforms.

*** These helmets are based on the original RHP release. I am trying to gain permission to release the updated VRC version. ***
