When I started, I wanted to push the details beyond the current standards at the time, in the hope that the cars would be converted to newer games where they would continue to be used. The cars have indeed been converted many times, most recently in Automobilista, but versions are available in F1C, rfactor 1 and rfactor 2 and Assetto Corsa that I have seen so far from youtube clips and screenshots. I'm glad that 10 years on, people are still converting my cars to newer games, where they look awesome, and they don't look out of place.
It's funny, I obviously spend a lot of time on making my cars, and so it's easy for me to spot my own work when they get converted. Perhaps sometimes there are areas I'd like to improve on my own work, but they get passed on from game to game without ever getting updated. Anyway, I released them free, and I'm always happy to see my work converted to other games, provided I'm listed as an author and it is not sold for money.
