GP4: Assorted Helmets from USA, Mexico and Brazil

It's been a little while since I last posted some helmets, but there's been a lot of helmets in the last three races and I'm slowly catching up with them. Today I can present you with seven new helmets and one slight update on a previously released lid.

US GP

Lance Stroll

One of Lance's sponsors held a competition via their app to vote for a helmet design to be used. Designed by Mark Anwar, there were three space themed designs and this Solar System version got the vote.

Yuki Tsunoda

Yuki Tsunoda 2021 US GP Helmet

This is one of my favourite designs of the year, Yuki Tsunoda's US GP helmet. He used a different designer for this one off helmet, initially designed for his home race, but as that did not happen, he ran it in Austin, with Acura logos instead of Honda too. The leaves have been carefully placed, one by one, as close to the original as I can get it, but many of them went across the seam, but I'm really pleased how it came out, the seam is barely noticable.

Fernando Alonso

I had previously released this helmet, but afterwards, I noticed that I had missed off the bananas. So they've been added and you can find the updated helmet here.

Mexican GP

Nikita Mazepin

Nikita Mazepin turned up in the US with a Haloween inspired helmet, reversing the orange and black colours of his usual helmet and adding some spooky elements.

Lando Norris

Lando ran a similar design last time out in Mexico, but it's been updated for the 2021 Grand Prix with another colourful design, woven into his usual livery.

Sergio Perez

Sergio Perez 2021 Mexican GP Helmet

It was no surprise that Checo would run a special livery for his home race, running more of his country's colours on his helmet in place of the fluorescent yellow. The helmet also features a multi-coloured stripe at the rear of the helmet, again it took a little while to get the seam right.

George Russell

George Russell is again running a special helmet design, and this Mexican inspired helmet merges a green Mexican print in with his usual red design.

Brazilian GP

Lewis Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton 2021 Brazilian GP Helmet

I see that Jsoria has done a version too (https://www.racedepartment.com), but I had already pretty much finished my version when his was released. This Senna inspired change to his usual helmet brings a flash of yellow back to Lewis' helmet. Lewis performed admirably at the Brazilian GP weekend, qualifying first for the sprint race before being sent to the back of the sprint race. He fought his way back up to fifth, where he would receive another 5 place grid drop for a changed engine part. Incredibly, he was up to third (from tenth) by lap four, picked off Perez after the Safety Car, and set up another classic tussle for the lead with Championship rival, Max Verstappen. At the previous two sprint race events, the two clashed in the races proper, but in Interlagos, the two raced wheel to wheel again. Max was defending hard, sending both off track, but crucially they did not touch. After several laps, Lewis launched another attack, this time successfully to take a memorable win, one of the best of his illustrious career.

Incidentally, you can find two versions of Max Verstappen's Brazilian GP helmet, one by Jsoria (https://www.racedepartment.com), and another (which I slightly prefer) by Theofilos (https://www.racedepartment.com).

I hope you're enjoying these helmets, I'll do my best to keep up to date over the next few races, and hopefully catch up on some of the missing ones from the previous rounds. As ever, none of these would be possible without the great shapes and templates by Jvinu, and thus they are ACSPRH compatible.
